Salesforce is not just for big companies as I use Salesforce for my business of 1. Just me! It’s a great solution for solopreneurs, small companies and on up.


We’re not talking about a fancy contact list. Salesforce is a game-changing CRM that lets you manage your important information to help you grow your business.



Do you want more business? Who doesn’t? I love that old saying… Sales fixes everything.


One thing I like to do is make it easy for someone to become a customer. I don’t care to put people through a crazy rigmarole. Sure, I get legal terms and conditions in place on a clean simple quote, but what I like to do is provide e-sign capabilities.


Receive email – print – sign – scan – send email back, um, no thanks. Instead, I choose DocuSign eSignature solution. I like the ease of use and capabilities of integrating with Salesforce.


Can you imagine getting a deal ready to close and the prospect asks you to send over a quote late on a Friday? Do you really want to make it a hassle to get it signed? Nope. Just send it via DocuSign so all they have to do is receive it via email, click a couple things, and it’s done.


Make it easy to become a customer.




You may or may not have noticed some websites have unique phone numbers displayed throughout the pages. This allows marketers to associate new inbound calls to specific marketing campaigns. It helps with budgeting and ROI measurement.


Sounds expensive, right? You can spend hundreds or even thousands a year on call tracking software. But I don’t. I use Google Voice, and it’s free. Google Voice gives you many features like transcripts, time stamping, SMS to email, and much more. In its simplest form, I use it to get a FREE phone number for use on a specific web page, a Yelp page, or a postcard, and when someone calls that number, I know exactly what marketing piece influenced the call. Pretty slick, huh?


I know it seems like Google is taking over the world but they have so many FREE resources that can help your business grow. I don’t know what I’d do without them.


PRO TIP: With one Google phone number, you can create a schedule to have that number ring different phones at different times. Maybe ring your desk phone from 8-5 and your mobile from 5-9.



Beleive it or not, you can signup for Salesforce Essentials for only $300/yr! See those happy people in that stock photo? I bet they got Essentials.


I am personally using the Salesforce Essentials for Clear Business Group. I used to pay $900/yr for the Professional edition but just made the switch to Essentials and saved six hundred bucks.


I run all my marketing campaigns in Salesforce to keep track of ROI. I also use it to work through a Sales cycle following a lead from click to close.


The Salesforce Essentials Edition is like the Pro Edition but has a few limitations. See if you can work around them and save money.

When people search like-minded hashtags on Instagram, they come across your content and engage. The key is to not be salesy and just provide helpful, interesting content. If you are always pushing your products or services, it’ll be difficult to get people to follow. Think of Instagram as a way to build trust, a place for people to interact with you, and for you to discover new customers.
